See the world with your own eyes” In her hunt for a warmer climate then Holland could offer her, Ingrid Borst joined Steiner in 1990, at the age of 19, as a Hair and Beauty therapist. Ingrid spent two weeks training in London before joining her first ship, the Westerdam. Ingrid went on to complete three further contracts on the Holland America cruise line before coming back to London to complete the Management Training course. Over the next 2/3 years Ingrid managed the spa onboard various Costa cruise ships. Finally, in 1997 Ingrid joined the 6* cruise line Crystal where she completed her final contract at sea. Later that year the Steiner Recruitment division was born and Ingrid was asked to retire from ship life to join the land based team. Consequently, Ingrid spent the next two years in England and Ireland presenting career talks to schools and colleges. In the summer of 1999 Ingrid moved to Italy where she began to develop the recruitment in Italy. Due to Ingrid’s hard work, Steiner now have presence in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegro, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey. |
