| Growing up in a town called ‘Prieska’, I entered the beauty industry by qualifying at Riana’s International Academy in George, achieving the Top Student Award for 2001 in CIDESCO, ITEC & SAAHSP and decided to start my Career at Sea with Steiner August 2002, my initial plan was to commence one contract to pay my study fees and to save some money to open my own business. | |
 Arriving in London I was very excited about my new adventure and very impressed with the Steiner Training Academy and the intense knowledge that gets given to the students in a minimum time, after 10 days of training I was sent to my allocated ship, I joined a Royal Caribbean cruise liner called “Adventure of the Seas” with an average of 3500 passengers and 1400 crew members, needless to say it was mind blowing … swimming pools, Jacuzzi’s, an ice-skating rank, rock climbing wall, mini-golf course, think fun filled vacation and luxury and everything that comes to mind was there… 
After I realised the great business and career opportunity that the company offered I knew that I would be back for more contracts. My 2nd contract was on another Royal Caribbean vessel called the “Navigator of the Seas” and after this I was promoted to Spa Manager onboard the Empress of the Seas, then the Vision of the Seas, both Royal Caribbean ships. After this I was Spa Manager onboard the Queen Elizabeth II which is part of the Cunard Cruise Line family and did 2 contracts on this ship. My last adventure on the high seas was onboard the Island Princess which is part of Princess Cruises and now I am back in South Africa and even though I’ve seen over a hundred other places I am still proud and happy to settle in my home country, and looking forward to meeting
you all and give you the opportunities I had to grow in a career and as a person with this great opportunity Steiner offers us and go explore the world out there!! |
