"Dear Kerry,

An email to say thankyou. I'm now working on Carnival Glory, as a hairdresser, having the time of my life.

I know chances like this don't happen all the time and I'm lucky to be here, so I'd like to say thankyou for making my dreams a reality!"

Rebecca - Melbourne, Australia

Hey world travellers, and friends,

It's been just over a month for me onboard the Sea Princess and it's just what I thought it would be plus so much more.

My first cruise was the last of the Med cruises from England to Spain, Italy and back to England. Then we went on to the Shetland Islands and the Pharoah Islands, then to Iceland for 3 days and over to Greenland. Of all the places in the world I did not expect to see on my 2nd cruise. From Greenland we headed for Canada, arriving in St Johns, Newfoundland.. wow that was different too. Then Sydney and Quebec, where we stayed over night. I had a chance to go out on the town in Quebec and had a great night out with the other fitness guy, Carl from England, and the dancers. I really love Quebec and am glad we are going back during the next cruise. From here we are doing a ten day cruise to New York. WOW! and then 10 days back to Quebec where we will stay for 3 days. When we get back I am going to go skydiving from 13500 ft and am I looking forward to that! It will be my second jump and it’s been four years or so, and YES I am nervous…and excited!

After completing these next few cruises we will then head to the Carribbean for the next 4 or 5 months, which will take me through to the end of my contract in April.

There seems to be an excuse for fun every night. Well I have had my fair share and it’s helped me settle in but now I’m all about the business side of things…mind you, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to enjoy myself.. it’s more about the DETOX… HAHAHA.. I have started my internal and external approach and am feeling so much better already… I have about one week left on the first month before starting on silhouette.. I hope I start to see the body change shape... haha.

The hardest part is the exercise… because you work 12 to 13 hours a day and then you have to train after that.

Carl, the other fitness guy is great he has done nothing but support me and has helped with so much, which has made my time on board so much better. He has done a few contracts including the Dawn Princess and a Carnival ship. After this contract Carl is going back to Steiner to do management training.

This has been my dream for over 6 years and to be here working on a luxury cruise liner, travelling the world in a matter of a couple of months, is too good to be true. It still hasn’t really kicked in and occasionally I stop and think WOW… I AM ACTUALLY HERE DOING IT!

No matter where you are and who you are working with, just keep your head up and stay positive.. if you are having a bad day, don't let it bring you down… There is always someone to talk to, everyone goes through tough times.

So, if this suits you then stay focused and go your hardest, I have no doubts in any of you. I miss all the great times in bootcamp.

It is awesome and now I know why it was my dream for so long.

Take care all and keep rocking that ship!

I have found working on a cruise ship to be an exciting & life changing experience. This was the perfect opportunity to travel and see the world, not to mention growing on a personal & professional level. There are also a lot of long hours & hard work to be done, but at the end of the day, you will see all of your hard work pay off by helping to change other people's lives and also on a financial level. Thank you Steiner, for this unforgettable experience.
